Monoprints

A Monoprint is created when the image can be made on a surface that does not need a heavy press. Linocuts and wood cuts are often used for this type of printing. The image is cut into the surface such as linoleum or wood and then inked and put through the press one at a time. Each print is one of a kind. Often Meg would paint them in various different colors and add either oil pastel or acrylic paint on top of the linocut or woodcut image.
