Giclées

Meg waited for the right technology to arrive before she dove into the process of recreating her works of art as reproductions.  Not until the 00’s did the technology finally arrive to a specification she felt would mirror her work.  Giclee’s are fine art or photographic reproductions using a high-resolution ink jet printer one at a time. These printers are very high quality and spray each color on to the acid free paper. Most ink jet printers are not able to do this. Giclee printers are very expensive and use very sophisticated ink and technology to reproduce the original works. The dots per inch must also be at least 300 or more.

“It’s all about the relationship between recklessness and discipline. Enjoining the two to alternate- and a dance from which brings forth new work. It's a delicate balance. One I strive to know more intimately.”
